Preparing on-the-go jar salads
First, choose your perfect jars! There are so many shapes and sizes to choose from. For the first layer in your salad, cover the bottom of your jar container with dressing. This will ensure that all the nutritious veggies you layer on top will be soaked in flavor. Next, for the second layer, load in those healthy ingredients that will marinate well- this layer touches the dressing. Try favorites such as onions, peppers, radishes, carrots, chickpeas, artichokes, and olives. Layer three is reserved for light and crunchy ingredients that are to remain dry until eating time: nuts and seeds, berries, avocado, peas, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Arriving at layer four, we’ve made it to the top of the jar! In layer four, add in all those healthy greens. Try arugula, kale, sprouts, and cabbage. When you’re ready to eat, screw on the lid and shake it up!

- 2 pounds assorted heirloom tomatoes, chopped

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup basil leaves, packed and sliced thin
Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Nourishments, salt and pepper and pour over the tomatoes and basil.
